Textured blue paper with gilt titles and figures to spine and front, in red, white and blue jacket with Lancelot Speed painting (matching frontis plate) to front, 8vo. Listing date of 1919 is copyright, inscribed date of 1938 front pastedown. xv+360pp. Color frontis. Book has mildest of convexity to tips (not bumps), prev. owner's name/date to front pastedown under flap. Else as new: bright, tight, sharp and unmarked. Jacket has light edgewear and rubbing all around, 1/4" closed tear lower rear edge near corner. Mild soil rear panel only. Central colors, titles and figures all bright, sharp and unaffected. Speed illustrations -- both jacket and frontis -- are brilliant. Very scarce in condition and (especially) jacket. Seller Inventory # 006551
