About this Item
An art book on the Ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract. Contains an introductory chapter in both English and Hebrew, followed by 18 plates containing color photographs of ketubot from around the world pasted onto red pages. The last (or first) of these has a semi-circular chunk cut out from the center top - it is not clear if this was the way it was published, or whether someone has cut out a portion of the illustration. (Some of the others are of odd shapes, and the edges are often deliberately uneven.) 116 pages, counted from the Hebrew side ("back" of the book"). 9½ x 13 pages. Both jacket & book basically in very good condition, with the following exceptions: slight age-toning to pages, and substantial number of small tears and chips to edges of dust jacket.
