Book Condition: Good +; shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; soiling to boards; wear through paper on boards at tips. No DJ. Brown paper over boards with brown cloth overlay on the spine. Yellow endpapers. 159 pp 8vo. Illustrated in 22 brown and white "woodblock style" illustrations the author goes about creating the life of a fictitious boy who lived in the Hawaiian Islands before the arrival of Captain Cook. Much of the material the author used comes from the old Hawaiian story tellers. As best as it can be told this book presents the life on the islands before any European interference.
