8vo. 5.25 x 7.25 inches. xii + 248 pp. Bound in original maroon cloth, gilt, with black borders enclosing block of county badge on both boards. Bevelled edges. All edges red. Extremities quite worn, but a good clean interior with only traces of spotting. Early gift inscription on first free endpaper. Illustrated by wood engraved frontispiece of Hop pickers. Decorated by title page vignette and by head and tailpiece vignettes and initials throughout. A scarce collection of verse inspired by Kent by Benjamin Gough (1805-77), poet and hymn writer.
