Second edition (originally published in 1942). Octavo, pp xxii, 448 + xxxviii index. Bound in green cloth covered hard boards, black lettering to spine and upper board. Illustrated. Includes an extensive bibliography to writings about Kashmir. Certainly the most detailed guide for tourists to Kashmir and the city of Srinagar which, with the houseboats on Dal Lake, was a popular destination for expatriates and Indians escaping the heat of the Indian plains in the summer. Previous owner's name and date to the ffep, otherwise clean internally, spine is heavily sun faded, overall in Good Plus condition. Seller Inventory # B7553
