This VG+ quality first format (format #2 was 7-3/8") book was published in 1915 by the John C. Winston Company. It is 7-7/8" tall and has 270 numbered pages. It is square, extremely clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped and soiled without fabric damage. The bottom edges and lower front corners have very modest wear. The exterior looks quite good, with no fading, very little soiling, and very little wear. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type. Both hinges are strong and not damaged. The frontis + 3 is intact. The paper, including the end pages, is lightly toned and a bit stiff but is still flexible and not at all brittle. The VG jacket is very clean and has tiny chips at the heel of the spine and at all four corners, with short tears at both lower corners; the head of the spine has a larger chip that just barely avoids taking out part of Jimmy's name; the spine is modestly soiled.
