284pp. Tan wrapper, printed in black and red, with ornamental rows of jam jars on the upper wrapper. A rugged copy, with substantial chips and old cello-tape mends to spine, another old tape patch to short tear in fore- edge of upper wrapper, and a few leaves roughly opened. It is, nonetheless a sound functional copy. First edition of the author's only novel, the variant without the publisher's name in the title-page imprint (priority not established). See Neal Pearson's OBELISK A HISTORY OF JACK KAHANE AND THE OBELISK PRESS for a substantial account of the author, her long and odd relationship with Wyndham Lewis, and the composition and publication of her novel.
