Hardcover. Condition: Fair. This history of the Island of Saints and Scholars covers the period from the time of St. Patrick down to the Anglo-Norman Invasion of Ireland. Fir green cloth boards with gilt titles along the spine. Their edges are quite scuffed in places; esp. at the head and tail of the spine and spine/board joints. The binding remains tight. Internally, the pages are mild to moderately tanned with occasional spotting. This phenomenon is more apparent on the preliminary and final pages - see title page image as an example.
