8vo. 8 x 5.25 inches. 175 pp. Bound in original cream cloth, with black titles, in pictorial price clipped dust wrapper. Slight traces of edge spotting, but otherwise a fine copy. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Three plays written for television by novelist, Ian McEwan (b. 1948). It includes The Imitation Game, broadcast by the BBC as a Play for Today in 1980, and later made into a successful film. It is set in a wartime wireless listening station and later in Bletchley Park, the centre of code-breaking activities, featuring the German Enigma machine and the mathematics don, Turner, loosely based on computer pioneer, Alan Turing.
