London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1892. 8vo, 278 p.,bound in publisher's dark red cloth stamped in silver, with 24 pages ads bound in at rear. New Edition of this title, originally published in 1890. Though largely forgotten today, Weyman was admired by both Oscar Wilde and Graham Greene. The current work is the retelling of a French autobiography supposedly written in the 17th century. Book slightly cocked, flaking to spine lettering; pencil inscription to fep, with minor fraying to spine tips and corners, light foxing internally, else a sound VG copy.
