[New Edition]. 8vo. Original black cloth, Dust-jacket, with publisher's price-sticker 12/6. NF/VG+; very light marginal browning, no inscriptions, original silver lettered black cloth with minute fading to head of spine in a lightly browned unclipped jacket with very minor loss to top of spine. A reissue of Machen's classic collection of short stories which first appeared in 1906. It contains 'The Great God Pan', his notorious 1890s tale of science and sex, and its accompanying story 'The Inmost Light'. These appeared first in John Lane's famous Keynotes series, as did the portmanteau novel 'The Three Impostors'. Rare in the jacket. Seller Inventory # 84099
