This is a nice condition antique copy of "THE HORSE - A Study in Natural History" by William Henry Flower. 1892; D. Appleton and Company; New York. The book is richly illustrated with numerous full-page and in-text drawings and figures. The chapters are as follows: The Horse's Place in Nature - Its Ancestor and Relations; The Horse and its Nearest Existing Relations; The Structure of the Horse, Chiefly as Bearing upon its Mode of Life, its Evolution, and its Relation to Other Animal Forms; The Structure of the Horse, continued. Condition: Clean back cover and spine; 2 small, light stains on the front cover. There is a bit of mottling to the cloth at the bottom-right corner of the front cover. Bright gilt on the front cover and spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Nice interior - the pages are clean and appear unread with no issues found.
