xiv, 120 pages, the 1962 facsimile reprint of a book first published in 1675. The full title is Horological Dialogues In Three parts Shewing The Nature, Use, and right Managing of Clocks and Watches: with an Appendix Containing Mr Oughtred?s Method for Calculating Numbers. The whole being a work very necessary for all that made use of these kind of Movements. This book is important, as it was the first book in the English language devoted to clocks and watches. The book is written in the form of Question and Answer; the appendix describes Oughtred?s method for calculating wheel trains. The original edition is unobtainable and this facsimile edition is now hard to find. A very good copy, covers a little marked. Seller Inventory # K970
