LEARN more about Deed Poll, King Charles II, Empire, William Ewart Gladstone, Russian Governor Etholine, Okhotsk, Made Beaver, pemmican, Yerba Buena, and Rocky Mountain House. Several b/w images ( mostly photographs) are interspersed within text. Cond : Boards are navy blue with gilt lettering. End-papers are pictorial. Dust jacket is missing. Volume is clean and square though the outer shell is lightly worn. Binding tight. No names nor marks. Neither tears. Excellent reference copy. QUote (p. 29) : " Thus two outlaw parties, one from New France and one from New England, plus an armed ship with the authority of the English Crown, all converged upon the mouths of the Nelson and Hayes rivers in the autumn of 1682.
