Octavo's. 23×15cm; [2],xxviii,(564)+[87 plates]pp; [2],xx,594,[2 ads]+[98 plates]pp. Dark blue buckram boards with gilt titles to spines and gilt centrepieces between blind rules on upper boards. Light soiling with general wear to edges and corners. Former library labels on spines. Bindings square and tight although upper hinge of volume 2 tending to break. Top edges gilt. Former library bookplate on front paste-down endpaper of volume 1. Clean within with usual tanning of endpapers. Folding colour maps in back pockets of both volumes. Monochrome and colour plates throughout with folding colour maps and folding colour plate. Overall a 'Good+' set. Seller Inventory # 013136
