A history of Freemasons in the Halifax area - the coverage starts in the mid-18th century and goes up to the date of publication. Ten illus (all present: checked). Seven appendices, addendum, list of West Riding lodges, index. This is a stoutly bound late Victorian book in blue buckram with heavy boards. The boards are very good, the backstrip not bad but ragged at the head. All hinges and joints sound. Text well bound and clean. 334 pages; 6.5 x 10 inches. 1888. Not ex-library.
