Tight, faint tanning of page edges, clean, square. Blue cloth with black lettering. Endpaper has black and white 1/2" margin frame of boys activities and printed bookplate (no name). DJ has chipped edges, top 1/8" of spine missing, 1.5" rip on spine hinge ending in a rip across spine, front flap is present (unclipped) but detached. DJ has painting of boat with spotlight on plane with pontoons in the air above it. Interior lists "Mystery and Adventure Books for Boys". Back of DJ lists "Champion Sports Stories.seven crackerjack stories of baseball, football and basketball." 204 pages plus advertising pages, 7-7/8x5-5/8" (20x14.3 cm). Seller Inventory # 97T006

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. The cover has blue cloth with black letters. 20 chapters; graytone frontispiece; 3 pages of ads. The endpapers' borders have b/w vignettes. The text block ends have darkened. DJ: An illustration with a boat and seaplane spans the front and spine panels. Price clipped. The spine panel has darkened a little, and all its edges have rubbed spots. The back panel has darkened a little and has a store's ink stamp. Five chips are 1/4 in. to a linear 1/2 in. The top edge has 8 closed tears, 1/8 in. to 1 in. The reverse side has four pieces of tape. A dust jacket protector is attached on the reverse side with 6 other pieces of tape.
