PUBLISHER: Bray and Beran DATE/EDITION: 1930, no added dates or printings indicated. States on the title page that "Plain Language from Truthful James" or better known as "The Heathen Chinee" was written by Bret Harte at Table Mountain, California in 1870. BINDING: Softbound in orange paper covered spine with black oriental letters and string tied binding over folded gold paper covers so outside and inside are gold. DUST JACKET: No jacket. BOOK CONDITION: There is a very brief to from inscription on the first free end paper otherwise the interior is unmarked. The covers are clean with just some minor wear here and there and the string binding is tight and intact. Considering the type of binding and age of the book the condition is very good. DESCRIPTION: Composition and design by C. Raymond Beran. Seller Inventory # 008636
