This unpaginated book measuring 8.5 x 11.0 inches is a later issue of the first edition of this title in 1959. This book is in very good condition with a touch of wear showing to the corners, spine extremities, and bottom edges of the paper-covered boards ? with that wear being modest. This book does not have the 6-7 white dots on page 34 at the bottom of the page. The interior text pages are in all but fine condition with one curious brown spot to the closed text block but when the book pages are opened the brown spot has not bled through. The wonderful soft coloration of these early Seuss titles is clean and striking to see. The dust wrapper shows the 295/295 unclipped price and the rear inside flap shows the last Seuss titles as Yertle the Turtle and The Cat in the Hat Comes Back . . . both 1965 issues. The dust wrapper is in very good condition with definite wear showing to the folds and edges and with some chips missing at the top of the spine. The wrapper is now protected by a mylar cover.
