Contains the HISTORY OF THE MENHADEN from the fifth annual report of the Commissioner of Fisheries for the year 1877; then with 1878 added and further information for 1879. Book: Spine and bottom edges sun faded, with gitlt lettering intact. Gilt illustration of the Menhaden on front cover remain bright on original maroon embossed linen with some wear at head & heel of spine. Corner tips lightly bent and rubbed. Spine and hinges tight.
