Some chipping and wear to boards. Significant archival repairs to leaves [fleuron]1-3, B2-3. Title page and engraved title page have open tears and missing portions of pages have been supplemented with modern reproductions. Some chipping and wear to edges of textblock. Textblock somewhat age-toned and foxed, with a few small scattered stains. The map included after p. 38 is not the original, which is lacking, but a modern reproduction. Closed tear to lower edge of p. 267 (text slightly impact but legibility unimpacted). Armorial bookplate of the Drummond family, with the motto "Gang warily" on the inside of the front board.
