[64] pp., quarto, white canvas spine and gray bevelled boards, printed paper spine label. With a page of the original holograph manuscript tipped on to an oversize blank leaf with edges folded to page dimension, in custom beige cloth clamshell case with leather spine label, lacking original slipcase. Edition of 39 numbered copies, this #30. Described by A. E Coppard in Schwartz & Coppard p. 57 as "a pirated edition, issued without reference to or permission from me . . . , but I daresay the MS. sheet is genuine as I sold this particular MS. to an American some years ago." From the library of John K. Martin (of Black Sparrow Press) with his small exlibris label to rear pastedown. Engraved bookplate of Paul Heymann on front pastedown, fore edge margin of front and rear endpapers apparently from binding materials, corners moderately bumped, else fine in fine clamshell case.
