This 153 pp. SOFTBOUND is a SCARCE novel by the renowned Kentucky author who wrote 65 books. The only date on the copyright page is 1950 (which many sellers use), BUT for this Publisher, they mark their printings on the last page in the book. By the number sequence in this one, it is a 3rd printing, from 1970. Internally, the book is VERY GOOD and unmarked. Like most 54 year old paperbacks, this one shows moderate edge wear & a slight split bottom rear spine corner. There is a 3" crease line angling on the front cover from the bottom edge to the front edge. Additionally, there is a lesser 1-1/2" crease line at the front top corner. Still presents decently, and reads perfectly well. SCARCE IN THIS PAPERBACK EDITION !!
