In Hebrew. 25x 19 cm. Foxed. In new hard cover. HAARETZ shavuon liyeladim was a pioneer children's supplements in the daily press in Eretz Israel, and was published in 1921 as a weekly supplement, of 8 pages, to the Haaretz newspaper. It closed after c. 6 months and only 26 issues. Its logo was the old logo of the daily Haaretz. The editor of the supplement was the poet Yaakov Fichman (1881-1958) and his assistant editor was the teacher Kaddish Silman (1880-1937). Among the writers in the newspaper were the editor Fichman, S. Ben-Zion, Y. L. Peretz, etc. Translations from world literature were also published in the newspaper, including of Tolstoi, Shakespeare, Rudyard Kipling, Edmonod dee amicis, etc. Seller Inventory # 014968
