This NF quality book was copyrighted in 1934 and published by the Cupples & Leon Company; it is 7-3/4" tall with 202 numbered pages of text followed by 8 unnumbered pages of ads. It is a format #1, as per Mattson & Davis. This book--with orange cloth binding and black lettering--is square, extremely clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are bumped, with no damage. The bottom edges have virtually no wear. The spine is not faded and is clean and the lettering is intact and not damaged. The lettering on the front panel is completely intact and not damaged. The exterior looks almost brand new. Except for some small book store numbers stamped on the RFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The text paper is barely toned; the pages are very flexible and not at all brittle. There is a frontis on coated paper. Both hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. The series list at the back of the book lists the first five titles in this series. The VG jacket is in one piece, very clean and not faded, not even the dark blue spine! It has tiny chips at the head and heel of the spine and several short closed edge tears.
