A good copy of this novel my The Hon. Mrs. Greene, originally published in 1887. This undated edition has colour illustrations by Arthur Rackham. The first Rackham illustrated edition was published in 1903. This may be a slightly later edition. No Dust Jacket. Cover: dark red cloth covered boards with blind embossed decoration to front and spine, blind embossed lettering to front and gilt lettering to spine; much darkened with time and rubbing to all edges commensurate with age and use, cloth scraped at top front (about 1 inch); generally sound and good for its age. Internally: clean and tightly bound; may be missing front fly-leaf; some darkening to page edges and some foxing particularly to pages opposite colour illustrations, but also to other pages. 8 Colour plates. 206 pp. plus 4 pp. Advertising material.
