About this Item
A two-volume work by Okawa Chokichi; the two volumes are attached to each other by a loop of thread. The volumes are bound in paper with the traditional Japanese four-hole stab binding. All of the pages in the first volume, and some of the pages in the second volume, are comprised of a folded sheet of paper such that the folded edge is at the volume's fore edge, rather than tucked into the binding; this eliminates any bleed-through of text or image. Each volume includes a brief introduction followed by twenty-one prints in the first volume and twenty prints in the second volume. All prints are in color. -- Good to very good. Some bumping and loss of material to covers, particularly at corners; this is most noticeable on the back cover near the fore edge. General age toning and some age spots, consistent with age; one instance of insect damage in volume 2, impacting the latter half of the volume. [Oversized listing.
