Published in 1963 by Editura Academiei Republicii Populare Romine. Volumes 1 and 2. Hard cover, dust jackets. See photos for condition. For both volumes, dust jackets (DJs) have moderate wear. DJ edges are whitening and have some ripping and creasing. The largest rips are ~1-2 inches - DJs are holding together well and not close to completely ripping apart. DJs have surface scratching and scuffing. The hard cover boards are both volumes are firm and robust. There is some minor lightening/discoloration in the fabric on the boards in places. The fabric remains well intact on the boards - doesn't appear to be fraying, even around the corners. Some of the board corners are curling in. There are a few very small spots of white staining on the front edges of boards. Both volumes have a stamp of the previous owners name on the pasted down end page. The top edges of the text blocks have some mottling, with some minor staining on the other edges. Pages are toning/yellowing, particularly the edges of pages (some of which have darkened considerably). Some pages have minor/faded staining (very minor, what is typical in an older book; does not affect readability of text). Pages of both volumes appear free of writing, markings and highlighting. Pages appear to not have any dog-earing, notable creasing or ripping, or pages missing. Bindings are holding together very well - loosening with age, but no notable splitting in gutters or cracking.
