About this Item
Wraps 18x26cm beautifully illustrated in colour by Ken Sawyer. 16, (2)pp with many b/w photos. Good, with faint damp staining to the top right corners, and closed tear along spine fold. SoCal's monthly Bulletin kept its shareholders, employees, patrons and the public up-to-date about its business and methods. The editor and authors are not named, however the Directors are listed, with W.H. Berg named as President. This issue is primarily dedicated to the World's Fair Premiere just inside the Golden Gate on 18 February: "Two years to build, representing an investment of $50,000,000, embodying the cultural refinements and industrial progress of the entire Pacific area and much of Europe". There are photos of the buildings and details including sculptures, and an architect's impression of the Petroleum Exhibit which was built in sections in workshops around San Francisco Bay, and will be assembled on Treasure Island. Other content addresses gasoline prices, Western highway travel, and oil field operations for Nov 1938. Seller Inventory # 4739
