6 x 4 in. 230 pp [2 ads]. Green publisher's cloth with gilt titling to spine and cover image of a boy reading a book under a tree, with 2 dogs beside him and a house behind. Spine gently cocked, cloth rubbed and lightly soiled. Corners pushed and spine ends chipped, with some fading to spine cloth. Previous owner's faint ink signature dated 1863 to ffep. Heavy foxing to leaves at front and rear, moderate foxing scattered throughout otherwise clean text. Small crack at top of rear hinge, rest sound. Seller Inventory # 771
