Thick 8vo. 5.75 x 8.75 inches. viii + 712 pp. Bound in original light green cloth, gilt. A little wear to extremities and stain on outside corner of lower edge; otherwise a very good copy. Erratum slip pasted to front pastedown. Loosely inserted: folding leaflet of Armitage W.C. Units, Basins, etc., [4] pp. folding, illustrated; 2 Terms Sheets for Trade for Catalogue No. 240, July1969, [12] pp. and 29th May 1970,[16] pp. (2 copies). Illustrated by frontispiece with photograph and plan and throughout by engravings, photographs. A comprehensive catalogue of general castings, drainage goods, fireplaces and heating equipment, ironmongery, decorators' requisites, sanitary fixtures, kitchen equipment, plumbers' brasswork, light constructional work and windows. The General Iron Foundry was established in London in 1852 and exhibited at the International Exhibitions of 1862 and 1867. The London company appears to be no longer in existence, although companies of this name are currently recorded in Romford and Stroud.
