Dark brown cloth over boards with gilt debossed particulars to spine and gilt debossed title and author's name in debossed rule to front board. Pages have light tanning from age particularly to margins, corner creased at top corner of a few pages from being dogeared, and previous owner's tape repair to folded seam of included map. Frontispiece, plates and text remains clean and unmarked. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Text block is tanned, fore edge and lower edge deckled, and top edge sprayed gilt with light shelf wear. Boards are bright with indented scuff across center of front board, bubbling to cloth at top edge of rear board, and soiling along spine edge of front board; moderate bumping and rubbing to corners and ends of spine. Binding is tight, spine is cocked. Seller Inventory # 62220
