There is old sellotape between the boards and pastedowns that seems to serve no useful purpose as the binding Is tight. ; Fine binding by Robert Seton of Edinburgh; undated but 1845-1847, binding contemporary with late 1840s. Bound from parts, 3 volume series bound as one. 95 engraved plates with tissue guards. This book is comprised of the first three of four volumes purchased by subscription and later sent by subscribers to binders, so each set would be in a different binding type.
