Contents generally clean and tight, but with a tape repair to hinge, a little spotting to a few pages, and a little damp marking to to a few pages, mainly to the edges of some pages. Marbled andpapers. Beautiful B&W full page steel-cut engravings throughout. Includes 'The lives and sufferings of His Holy Evangelists, Apostles and Disciples, who have sealed the Divine Truths of Christianity with Their Blood' and a 'Full Defence of Christianity against the objections of atheists, deists and infidels. Added to this is 'Evidences of the Christian Religion' by Beilby Porteus, late lord Bishop of London, including 'A treatise on the faith and practice of a Christian, compiled from the writings of the most eminent and pious divines', also Dr Doddridge's excellent sermons on Christianity.
