About this Item
Book is in very good condition. No writing or markings on any of the pages, a very clean book. Does have dust jacket which has some wear and tear on front and upper back. William Lyon MacKenzie was no inconsiderable figure of fun. He was an able editor, reporter and pamphleteer. The author writes of this fiery man who regularly attacked Toronto " like a sort of deranged Yankee Doodle." He also became Toronto's first mayor when it became a city. But he was complex, a political editor, the shrewd recorder of his times. Affectionate husband and father, the gadfly of the Assembly. Seller Inventory # 000069
