Size of binding: 2 1/2 in. x 3 3/4 in. x 3/4 in. (thick), printed titlepage. [1-3], 4-601 pp. + [4]pp. index. Bound in full, straight-grain light brown morocco leather, with gilt-stamped title and design on spine, and with gilt borders around the covers, with arabesque designs in the corners, gilt borders on leather turn-ins, gold-printed design endpapers; all edges gilt, with a fore-edge painting, identified in pencil on the reverse of the front endpaper as: "Fore-edge painting of The Old Palace, Kew"; this features a full view of the building, framed between trees. Colors show only very light fading, this appears to be an English fore-edge added to this book later in the 19th century, the details of the building are finely done. Evangelical Psalmbook, printed in Christiania; with a dark purple, pebbled paper-covered, pasteboard slipcase. The scan shows the binding. Seller Inventory # ABE-430476512
