Hardcover Navy blue, with gilt titles on the front cover and spine, there is also what appears to be a gilt iceberg on the front cover. The corners are lightly bumped and there is some wear on the edges and spine bottom and some wear on the back cover. The fore edge is rough cut and somewhat foxed, the top edge appears to either have yellow or gilt edge. The end papers are clean, but age yellowed, the next page after the half title is lightly foxed (as are a few other pages) and has a small split at the hinge. The frontispiece is a wonderful photo of Mr. MacMillan. There are wonderful Photographs by the author through out the book and also maps. 288 pp (which include the appendix, index and a final map).
