Both vols bound in contemporaneous marbled boards, rubbed and eroded on all eight front corners. Each leather spine bears a black leather spine lined and lettered in gilt; the hinge of the front board of vol 2 is 90% split including a 2 cm deficiency but still holding. Some acceptable soiling in texts, pages rough cut, binding secure, original endpapers present. Herewith the title to vol 1: 'Erratics: by a Sailor containing Rambles in Norfolk and elsewhere. In which are interspersed, some observations on the late attempts to revive the Cromwellian observance of the Sabbath. Together with some hints on the present pernicious mode of burying the dead; and a remedy proposed.'.
