About this Item
Single sheet, (image 234x173mm on paper 271x198mm), uncoloured as issued, slightly dust-soiled. First issued in the 1835 edition of Dugdale's Curiousities of Great Britain and Ireland, this map was frequently revised and updated to take account of the development of the railways in the Lake Counties, although this issue shows only the Carlisle-Newcastle railway. The major fells are represented by hachuring, and polling places and the location of lead, and of particular interest in West Cumberland, coal mines are also represented by symbols. Please note that the advised postage is based on an average book, if necessary the postage will be reduced to the correct amount and you will be notified by email. Seller Inventory # 18641
