Batten, which include a Frontispiece + 8 full-page pen-and-ink illustrations throughout the text.With gray cloth-covered boards lettered in dark blue to front & spine, this hardcover small octavo is in Good+ condition: downgraded primarily due to being an ex-lib copy, with card pocket & the usual stamps & markings in front matter & to outside page edges. Generally quite clean, with the occasional smudge or foxed spot. Pages creamy white & unmarked, with soil to exterior fore edge. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure. The unclipped DJ was glued inside both covers by its flap, but, having been protected in clear mylar, is in Near Fine condition: bright & colorful with virtually no wear! Paper call number to spine.
