"This 6.5 x 9.5, xxvii, 375 page book is a quality reprinting of the 1850 epic, a book that remains today as one of the very best written about the gold rush experience. This very nicely printed 1949 edition is marked with the 1949 date on the title page and the statement "first Borzoi edition" on the copyright page. The dust jacket present here is in very good or better condition with edge wear showing, and two small quarter-inch tears and some sunning and possible hand darkening to the dust jacket spine coloring. The book itself has no real conditions to mention. The beautiful color illustrations from the time period are wonderful additions to this reprint. Taylor's work on the gold rush remains today as one of the very best from that time. 375 pages.". Seller Inventory # 1505-405
