Original black/white picture in photogravure, printed on heavy limp paer, illustrating a fieldhospital in Aceh, North Sumatra, with some indigenous bearers in foreground. Title in bold black type at tail in dutch language, publ. name at lower left corner beneath illustrated area. ["Kleynenberg", plate no. 124]. Fine condition. A fine captioned monochrome impression of a dutch military field-hospital in Aceh during the war. A so-called Classroom Wall plate, reproduced after an original photograph by Jean Demmeni, a french Indo-European photographer and topographer, who worked for Kleynenberg Publishers, Haarlem between 1911-1913.
