This book offers wonderful images of the English cricketers at work and play and is, in many ways, as much of a travelogue as an account of a cricket series. First Edition. Large 8vo. xiv + 284pp + [4] + 32pp catalogue in the rear. Frontispiece (tissue-guard, sl foxed), 47 plates. Original red cloth boards, bright and clean, gilt titles to spine and front. Contents sl shaken, a couple of plates working loose, scattered marginal foxing, pencil annotations in the text. Sellotape repair to front gutter. Ex. libris A.D.
