Large 8vo, brown cloth with coloured portrait pasted to front, gilt lettering to front, brown lettering to spine, glassine dj, in box illustrated with same portrait as the cover. Box lid has two corners torn, all corners bumped, some slight dampstaining to lower edge of front, lightly rubbed; bottom of box has a five inch split along edge, corners bumped and a rather unattractive attempt at a gift inscription by perhaps an overzealous suitor, using a black marker; large calligraphic initials "A.H." to ffep, some chipping to folds of glassine dj, light wear along bottom edge, else a very nice copy. 225.00.
