About this Item
This VG- quality book was copyrighted in 1932 and published by Grosset & Dunlap; it is 7-5/8" tall with 244 numbered pages of text followed by 4 unnumbered pages of ads. It is a format #2, as per Mattson & Davis (gray cloth, dark green lettering). This book is square, reasonably clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are also bumped, with slight color loss and wear. The bottom edges have a moderate amount of wear. The spine is not faded and is clean and the lettering is intact and not damaged. The lettering on the front panel is completely intact and not damaged. The binding does have a few small stains and scrapes, each one rather insignificant but collectively worth mentioning. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The end pages have a substantial amount of toning, more than the text pages. The text paper is very lightly toned; the pages are very flexible and not brittle. The frontis on coated paper in intact--it is the only illustration. Both hinges are strong and not damaged in any fashion. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. This series is not listed in the book. The VG jacket is in one piece and is very slightly soiled but not faded. It has tiny chips at all four corners and small chips at the heel of the spine, with slightly larger chips at the head of the spine. There is a 1" tear at the bottom of the rear gutter and a 1/2" tear at the bottom of the rear panel. The rear flap lists all six titles in this series. Seller Inventory # BMR-2020-8-20-7
