About this Item
Second printing, published just one month after the first printing, in February 1968, of the fascinating personal memoir and account of the scientific search for, and discovery of the structure of DNA, by Watson, Crick and their fellow scientists. Blue cloth with gilt printing on spine, and plain embossed printing on cover, is very firm and tightly bound, with no marks. The lower rear corner is lightly bumped and there is a narrow strip of fading along the top edge and front of bottom edge. Top of page block is dyed yellow. Jacke is clean and bright, and not price clipped, but has 2 tiny (1/8") closed tears, one to each bottom flap fold. 226 pp, followed by a six page facsimile of the letter telling Delbruck about the Double Helix, and a photo of the six 1962 Nobel prize winners, and another page with a brief Watson biography. Red end papers. Science, DNA, Discoveries. Seller Inventory # 004225
