There is no date regarding the publication of this hard cover with green cloth, gilt lettering and green and blue decorations. The paste down on the front board is complete, however, the paste down on the spine has paper and parts of the image missing. The list of illustrations calls for 6 images including the frontispiece, this volume is complete with the frontispiece being in color and the others in black-and-white. The front gutter is starting to break, and the back gutter while better also has about a three inch start of separation. The edges show some wear-color fading, softening to the spine ends and bumping to the tips. Additionally, there is a dent to the top edge of the front board. There are 340 pages to this volume and it appears the edges may have been dyed at one point but the coloring has faded, and the edges are darkened, soiled. There is also a dated birthday gift inscription in ink on the front free end paper. This book is heavy and may require additional charges for shipping. Seller Inventory # Home29
