The Devil's Picture-Books: A History of Playing Cards. Green cloth hard cover with silver stamping and lettering on spine. Color printed frontispiece behind tissue guard, illustrated with many beautiful color printed plates as well as black and white line work, 207 pages. Spine somewhat canted and toned, some spotting and toning to covers, corners bumped. Title page nearly torn out of book, page edges toned, some cases of tranfer from plates to facing pages.
