Fewer that 7000 copies of the first edition were sold before the publishers withdrew the book as a result of libel proceedings regarding it. 337 pages including two appendices, source notes, index, 60 b/w photos, seven maps/disgrams, three document reproductions. Blue hard covers VG with slight, unobtrusive mottle, light wear corners, spine extremities, silver spine titles bright and clear, dealer stamp lower right front pastedown with shadow image opposite on FFEP with ink name/address at top.
