Complete in 2 volumes. 132 loose plates & 29 page booklet resting in tan cloth portfolio with string-ties. Portfolio with folding flaps and black lettering on cover and spine. Book bound in wraps. Plates are b/w reproductions of engravings, drawings, plans, and photographs in collotype of monuments in Dalmatia. Structures covered are located in Zara, Salona, Spalato, Knin, Cattaro, Ragusa, Arbe, Curcola, Sebenico and Traû. Dalmatia is a region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and is situated chiefly in today's Croatia. Each plate protected by decorative tissue guard. Many plates with detailed interior, as well as exterior architectural decorations and ornaments. Introduction by Cornelius Gurlitt. "132 Lichtdrucktafeln nach Naturaufnahmen des Herausgebers sowie nach Kupfer aus dem Werke von R. Adam: Ruins of the Palace of the Emperor Diocletian at Spalatro."
